Role Overview

As a Senior Compliance Principal, you will contribute to the effective management of compliance risk within our organisation, working closely with experienced risk and compliance specialists to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting thematic reviews and analysis to identify compliance gaps or regulatory issues.
  • Providing specialist compliance advice on regulatory change projects, such as the Privacy Act Review.
  • Overseeing the compliance incident management process, including identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Delivering high-quality compliance advice on the effectiveness of compliance risk management at Hollard.
  • Ensuring compliance incidents are effectively managed by servicing business stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Line 2 compliance role or similar function.
  • Strong legal experience or insurance and/or financial services compliance expertise, preferably in General Insurance.
  • A solid understanding of the regulatory compliance landscape, including APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act & Regulations, ASIC Act and Regulatory Guides, Insurance Contracts Act, and the GI Code of Practice.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data-driven insights and solve problems effectively.
