Key Responsibilities- Lead and Improve Quality Management Systems: Develop and implement effective quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage Risk and Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
- Drive GMP Awareness and Adherence: Promote a culture of excellence by ensuring all employees understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Investigate and Resolve Complaints: Conduct thorough investigations into quality, food safety, and environmental issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant food safety, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure compliance across the site.
- Develop and Deploy Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to ensure all employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a safety or quality role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and electronic mail applications.
- Knowledge and Certifications: In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation regulations, food safety standards, OHS, and environmental or quality auditing.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Project Management and Time Management: Proficient in personal time management, project management, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Investigation and Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in investigation, problem-solving, data analysis, and report writing.
