Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate community-minded cafe attendant to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position located at Perth, Northbridge WA.

The purpose of this role is to give oversight to the day to day operations of Coffee Booth Cafe to ensure the greater purpose is attainable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Give all customers a warm welcome and provide responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with quality of food and beverages served through constant feedback
  • Prepare foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grind and blend coffee beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve items to customers
  • Sell coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items and educate customers about brewing methods
  • Recruit and select volunteers in a timely manner
  • Train and develop volunteers in all aspects of the cafe including cleaning, food preparation, beverage preparation, money transactions (register) and customer service
  • Organise and operate budgets in consultation with Corps Officer
  • Achieve target sales as set by Corps Officer
Requirements:
  • Experience supervising volunteers
  • Barista experience
  • Food handling experience
  • Working with Children Check (for Child Facing roles)
  • Mandatory National Police check
  • Safe Food Handling
  • Knowledge of legislated requirements under the Food and Beverages Act
