Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant

Our client is a leading provider of occupational rehabilitation services in Australia. They deliver high-quality customer service and innovative health and work solutions, working collaboratively with companies and schemes to reduce the impact of psychological and physical injury and illness on people, families, and businesses.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of injured clients, developing workplace-based rehabilitation programs to achieve positive return-to-work outcomes.
- Conduct initial and worksite assessments, home assessments, and provide rehabilitation counseling.
- Evaluate clients' progress, preparing reports detailing their progress.
- Analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals, testing and evaluating clients' physical and mental abilities.
- Recommend changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Liaise and work in consultation with referring agency staff, injured workers, employers, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals.
We are seeking an experienced Rehab Counsellor for a permanent role as a Rehabilitation Consultant on the Gold Coast. The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, ASORC registration, and previous industry experience in occupational rehabilitation.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and ASORC registration.
- Previous industry experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and injury management is desirable.
- Outstanding communication and networking skills.
- Excellent writing skills and experience writing reports.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Australian driver's licence and own vehicle.
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia.
