Salary: This part-time role offers a highly competitive hourly rate of up to $28.62, plus superannuation and benefits.

Job Description: As a Cook at Goodstart Eight Mile Plains, you will create delicious and healthy meals for young minds and bodies. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the health and wellbeing of children through planning and preparing nutritious food for morning tea and afternoon tea
  • Lunch is delivered fresh and needs to be served and kept at safe temperatures
  • Ensure the safety of children by accounting for special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
  • Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
  • Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
