Radiation Oncology Registrar

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Oncology Registrar to join our team at Icon Group's Concord cancer treatment centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Radiation Oncology service.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the delivery of optimal patient care, working closely with consultants and other members of the treatment team.
- Keep accurate documentation of patient encounters and summary of clinical care.
- Develop knowledge of treatment positions and techniques through simulation and planning.
- Communicate effectively with the planning team to critically evaluate treatment plans.
- Participate in the Radiation Oncology inpatient consultation service, with oversight from clinical supervisors and liaison with multidisciplinary team members.
- Assess and treat the side effects of radiation treatment on patients.
- Effectively communicate with relatives, nursing, allied health and radiation therapy team members.
- Participate in tumour stream Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.
- MBBS or equivalent with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Minimum of two years clinical experience post-graduation (PGY3+).
- Interest in pursuing a career in radiation oncology.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and written.
- Demonstrate effective and appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to continually develop both personally and professionally to meet the changing needs of your career and industry.
