
Procurement Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled procurement specialist to oversee procurement activities for large-scale energy projects in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full procurement lifecycle, including planning, tendering, negotiation, and contract awards.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and quality standards.
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best value and mitigate risk.
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide procurement reporting and insights to project leadership, supporting forecasting and cost management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement management within the energy sector, ideally in transmission and distribution.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract frameworks, and commercial principles under the Australian Standards framework.
- Demonstrated track record in managing supplier negotiations and complex procurement packages.
- Familiarity with high-voltage equipment and materials supply chains.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
