As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work as part of the Infrastructure team to build automation and tools to deploy, monitor, and maintain platform health. Most of the work involves improving our event-driven micro-service platform based on EKS/K8s, which was launched in 2024 and has EKS (Kubernetes) and knative at its core. You will support dev teams as they migrate their existing workloads to the EKS platform, ensuring world-class infrastructure/platform solutions and develop, deploy, and monitor their services independently from the rest of the system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the effort in ensuring the reliability of the platform
  • Building/improving logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
  • Identifying weaknesses in the infrastructure and implementing changes
  • Troubleshooting production issues and steering them to resolution along with the Engineering team
  • Participating in on-call rotation to support production incidents
  • Supporting teams hosting their services on our platform

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in supporting Kubernetes platforms in production environments
  • Proven experience in managing AWS cloud services
  • Operations background where you have successfully supported a platform at scale
  • Experience in logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions, such as Datadog and Elasticsearch
  • Experience automating infrastructure management with IaaC tools like Terraform or CDK
  • Familiarity with GitOps
  • Software development background
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science and/or related work experience
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD is preferred
  • Working knowledge of GCP is beneficial
  • Experience with distributed databases like TiDB is desirable
  • Familiarity with IDP tools like Backstage, Port, or similar will be highly regarded
  • AWS networking basics will be an advantage
