Energy Transition Specialist

As an Energy Transition Specialist, you will play a vital role in accelerating the shift from traditional energy sources to renewable alternatives. Your expertise in designing and engineering renewable power facilities will be crucial in driving this change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions for renewable energy projects.
  • Develop technical specifications and scope of work documents, and prepare detailed engineering design reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and emerging technologies into transmission and distribution networks.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Create detailed drawing packages in conjunction with the drafting team for renewable generation balance of plant design.
  • Conduct field visits and inspections to assess distribution infrastructure conditions and identify potential improvements.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting, development, or power utility environments.
  • Sound understanding of industry codes and standards related to power, such as AS2067 and AS/NZS 3000.
  • Experience in power design fields, including building services, mining, LV or MV design, with HV Substations experience being well regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive approach to building client relationships through listening, responsiveness, and effective communication.
  • Project management and bid management experience.
