About the Role

The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Medical Superintendent to lead our team at the Moura Community Hospital. As a Medical Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and quality medical services to inpatients and outpatients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of 24-hour emergency department coverage
  • Leadership and management of medical services
  • Development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of either the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) is highly desirable
  • Advanced skills in Emergency Medicine or commitment to complete AST – Emergency Medicine / FARGP – Emergency Medicine (ACRRM / RACGP) is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience across a variety of clinical fields
  • Sound knowledge of community health, public health, and epidemiology, Aboriginal Health, Drug and Alcohol issues, and health education
