We are an independent, registered charity providing front-line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues.
Pursuing a holistic model of care, we provide pathways out of poverty through client-centred care and harm prevention. Our focus is on respect, safe environments, and improved health, enabling each person to lead longer lives, have meaningful employment, and a greater sense of belonging, safety, and security.
The Community Partnership Coordinator role plays a vital part in this endeavour, establishing and maintaining connections with community partners and organisations to attract, engage, and involve young individuals in our Transition to Work Program.
About the RoleThis position involves carrying out various projects and activities that help disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. To achieve these goals, it's essential to build strong partnerships and work together with local social service providers, government agencies, schools, and community organisations.
You will be responsible for bridging the gap between our Transition to Work Program and the young people it aims to help. By working closely with these different groups, this role ensures that the program can provide the necessary support and resources to empower disadvantaged youth, ultimately helping them grow personally and professionally.
Requirements- Educational Qualifications: A minimum degree-level qualification in Mental Health, Youth Work, Community Services, or Career Development is essential.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in employment services, training industries, and/or community/youth sectors, preferably with a track record of achievements and impact.
- Client-Centric Approach: Ability to engage and work effectively with diverse client groups, understanding their needs and delivering tailored support and guidance.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and partners, fostering collaborative relationships for effective service delivery.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions to address complex issues faced by individuals or communities within the specified sectors.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people. If you're a born networker, love being out and about, and have demonstrated business development and promotional skills to secure new and repeat business, we'd like to hear from you.
As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with local social service providers, government agencies, schools, and community organisations to establish and maintain important connections with community partners and organisations.
Your Benefits- A competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
- Free, locally roasted coffee at the office.
- A portion of your income as tax-free through generous salary packaging benefits.
- PLUS additional tax-free salary packaging on meals & entertainment expenses.
- Flexible work environment & flexibility to take extra unpaid leave for travel while working.
- 17.5% Annual Leave Loading.
- Uncapped Employee Assistance Program.
- Additional paid leave for caregiving, wellbeing, family violence, study PLUS an extra five personal leave days.
We're an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from candidates with disabilities, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and Indigenous candidates. We promote a workplace that actively seeks to include, welcome, and value unique contributions.
