ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to contribute to our ongoing success. This position reports directly to the Project Controls Manager and is integral to Ertech's Civils and Underground operations for a significant project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Compiling a comprehensive register of material and equipment needs
  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers
  • Preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for Engineering Manager review
  • Issuing RFQs and gathering quotes in line with client procurement standards
  • Analyzing quotes, including bid leveling, and providing recommendations to the Engineering Manager
  • Monitoring orders throughout the procurement process and delivering weekly status updates
  • Coordinating the quarantine processing of materials
  • Tracking the delivery of materials and providing regular updates

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with project teams, contract administrators, and suppliers
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a compliance-oriented mindset
  • Extensive experience as a Procurement Officer in heavy industry
  • Preferred tertiary qualification in a relevant field
