Job Title

Overview of the Role

As a Construction Apprentice, you will learn the core construction skills that provide a foundation of safety and productivity across all industry sectors. These include but are not limited to: Construction Site Safety Orientation; Introduction to Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Basic Rigging and Material Handling; Basic Communication and Employability Skills; Confined Space Awareness; Fall Protection; and First Aid/CPR/AED.

Responsibilities
  1. Exhibit an enthusiasm to learn and develop your knowledge and skills.
  2. Display eagerness to build your skillset and put in the effort to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship.
  3. Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training as directed by the Journeyman/Supervisor.
  4. Keep log of on-the-job training activities and maintain records.
  5. Complete all tests, presentations, and other required evaluations.
  6. Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients and observe health and safety procedures.
  7. Promote and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  8. Perform tasks and duties as directed by the Journeyman/Supervisor.
  9. May assist other craft workers and meet hard deadlines and work to strict schedules.
  10. Solve problems and think critically to resolve issues and follow instructions clearly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 0 to 4,000 On the job Training hours
  • Experience using basic power tools preferred
