About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Developmental Educator in Northern Brisbane. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with participants, their families, and support teams to develop personalized plans that empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments using evidence-based tools to identify participant needs and develop targeted strategies for improvement.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide wraparound supports that cater to the unique needs of each participant.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and support teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement person-centered plans that promote autonomy, independence, and quality of life for participants.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability (or equivalent) and eligibility to become a member of the DEAI.
  • Ability to submit a suitability assessment and be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
