Metcash is a leading wholesale and retail company seeking a reliable and skilled Store Associate to join our team. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the warehouse, making deliveries to job sites, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the warehousing of store products in accordance with company procedures
  • Deliver products to residential building sites within a designated area safely and effectively
  • Ensure PODs are acquired per company policy
  • Perform warehouse duties, including pick and pack, forklift operations, and stock receipting
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the site and be responsible for cleanliness and safe operation of the vehicle
  • Project a professional image by maintaining a neat, tidy appearance
  • Communicate effectively with other team members, including listening, involving others in decisions, sharing information, and empathizing with their needs
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to regarding stock control and stock security

Requirements

  • Adhere to safe working practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive lifting or tasks
  • MR Driver's License advantageous but not essential
  • Manual Driver's License advantageous but not essential
  • Forklift License advantageous, but not essential
  • Have initiative and ability to work unsupervised
