About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our contracts and procurement team, you will be responsible for managing high-value long-term service contracts and ensuring that all commercial requirements are satisfied.

With a strong background in commerce, engineering, law, or a related discipline, you will have a good understanding of large-scale mining and resource projects, particularly in the iron ore sector. Your experience in establishing and managing high-value contracts will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day contractual matters, focusing on construction and service contracts for a major project in the early works execution phase.
  • Arrange for the commercial and technical evaluation of bids and ensure that purchase orders comply with appropriate specifications.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate procurement strategies to minimize costs without compromising service levels.
  • Prepare and issue tender documentation, enquiries, and purchase orders for high-value/high-risk items.
  • Contribute to and review the scopes of work and contract conditions.
  • Assess, review, and advise senior/project managers in respect of contractor claims for variations, progress claims, and extensions.
About You
  • A tertiary degree in commerce, engineering, law, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience establishing and managing high-value long-term service contracts.
  • A good understanding of large-scale mining and resource projects, particularly in the iron ore sector.
  • Prior experience working in an EPC/EPCM environment during the study phase.
  • Attention to detail and rigorously follows procedures.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients.
