Provisional Fellow

The Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia is a key role within the Anaesthetics Department at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Provisional Fellow, you will assist in providing high-level anaesthetic services within the Interventional Suite and the hospital Pain Service.
Under the direction and supervision of experienced anaesthetists, you will provide care and services to secure optimal health outcomes for patients. This role requires provision of perioperative services both in the preadmission clinic and on the wards.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative clinical community with access to modern facilities and equipment. You will be part of a team that values quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing high-level anaesthetic services within the Interventional Suite and the hospital Pain Service
- Provide perioperative services in the preadmission clinic and on the wards
- Work under the direction and supervision of experienced anaesthetists
- Contribute to the departmental after-hours and on-call roster
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- Completion of four years of accredited ANZCA Training (or overseas equivalent)
- Successful completion of all training and ANZCA examinations requirements (or overseas equivalent)
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
- Demonstrated clinical competency and ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
