In the Powerdata Group Consulting team, we are seeking a talented Infrastructure Architect and Leader to join our ranks. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing highly available, multi-region solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take on the challenge of managing and administering the Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security. Your expertise will be crucial in analysing existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements. Additionally, you will develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using cloud-native tools for automated and consistent platform deployments.

Responsibilities
- Designing and developing highly available, multi-region solutions on the Azure cloud environment
- Managing and administering the Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security
- Analysing existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements
- Developing IaC using cloud-native tools for automated and consistent platform deployments
- Implementing policy-driven data protection practices to safeguard cloud solutions from data loss

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an infrastructure engineer or equivalent role
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or holds certification in virtualization accreditation and experience (preferred)
- Strong technical background in hosted services environments, including hardware, software, virtualization, and storage
- Knowledge and experience within Private and/or Public Cloud technologies, including VMware product suite, Microsoft Azure (desirable)
- Sound experience with TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, etc)
- Strong knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based services (desirable)

- CPMG 4 - Capacity management: Level 4 (SFIA)
- ITOP 5 - IT infrastructure: Level 5 (SFIA)
- DESN 5 - Systems design: Level 5 (SFIA)
