Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead a team of transport specialists, including day and shift workers, and coordinate shift coverages due to personnel absences or site events.
  • Transport Planning: Create and manage bus rosters, covering all required runs, including alternating schedules for public holidays and other instances as required.
  • Special Events: Coordinate transport requirements for special events, ensuring timely and efficient logistics.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct basic pre-inspections of vehicles, report any faults to the transport supervisor, and carry out basic maintenance on vehicles.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all site environmental, health, and safety requirements, including maintaining tracking of licenses and endorsements for transport specialists.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of registration and insurance for all vehicles, and ensure vehicles are in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Health and Safety: Promote safety awareness initiatives, discussions, and trainings, and participate in and review risk assessments for those under supervision.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Certificate in Logistics/Transport Operations.
  • Tickets and Licenses: Current Driver's License, Forklift License, H Endorsement, and HR License.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience in transportation roles, leadership and management, and knowledge of transport regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The position is desk-based and sedentary in nature, with occasional lifting of items up to 5kgs.
  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication.
Statement of Work Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Australian or US citizen.
