About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in the areas of Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology.
  • Design and implement curriculum and assessment strategies to ensure student learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop and maintain a research program in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research papers and presenting at conferences.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or significant progress towards gaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
  • Record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in the areas of Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology and research expertise in a relevant discipline of Biomedical Sciences.
  • Evidence of research strategy and research leadership, relative to opportunity, and an emerging research track record, including high-quality publications, external funding or other relevant applied research outcomes.
