Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated support worker to provide assistance to an individual with physical and psycho-social disabilities in the Peel area. The successful candidate will have experience in managing PEG feeds and medication, as well as administering insulin.

The role involves assisting with daily activities such as showering, toileting, and dressing, as well as mobility and transferring. Additionally, the support worker will be responsible for administering medication via PEG tube and subcutaneous injections (insulin).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in disability supports and mental health
  • Experience in administering PEG feeds and medication
  • Insulin administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $35.01 per hour. The schedule includes morning and afternoon shifts, with penalty rates applicable. A valid manual handling certificate is also required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily activities
  • Managing PEG feeds and medication
  • Administering insulin
  • Community access

The position requires the following qualifications:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • National Police Clearance
  • Valid Manual Handling Certificate
