The Lead Consultant Psychiatrist will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve the mental health of adults in our community.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to take on a leadership position and make a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families.
The post is based at Stratheden Hospital, where you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to provide high-quality patient care.
As a lead consultant, you will be responsible for managing change within the service, contributing to service development and improvement, and supporting the development of the non-medical workforce and multidisciplinary team professional development.
You will also be expected to engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in psychiatry.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to improve adult mental health services
- Lead and manage change within the service
- Contribute to service development and improvement
- Support the development of the non-medical workforce and multidisciplinary team professional development
- Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Fully registered medical practitioner with MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
- Appropriate Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or eligible for inclusion within 6 months
- CESR route available for specialist registration; support provided
