Job Description

This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. We are recruiting for Mining Operators across Excavator, Dozer and Ancillary crews at GEMCO. These roles will see you safely execute operations activities through operating equipment in accordance with GEMCO standards and operating procedures.

You will be responsible for executing the production mining and/or development activities according to the production plan. This includes effective communication of equipment status to pit control and adhering to defined standard procedures and applying safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the production mining and/or development activities according to the production plan

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Experience and capability in:

  • Operating one of the following machines in a Mining Production environment:
  • CAT D11 Dozers in bulk push operations; or
  • 260T Excavators

You will also require experience operating the following equipment conducting Mining Ancillary tasks:

  • CAT D10 Dozers
  • 30-120T Excavators
  • Moxy articulated ejector haul trucks

Able to relocate yourself to Darwin or Cairns if successful. Qualifications for this position are:

  • Current C Class driver license (manual)

Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
