Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at KU Children's Services. As an Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing a variety of multidisciplinary early intervention supports for children aged birth to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families and other professionals.
  • Support the developmental needs of children through play-based learning environments.
  • Administer and score a range of assessments, and provide feedback to families.
  • Work independently as well as within a team to provide exceptional support to children and families.
Requirements:
  • Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children.
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments.
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases.
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills.
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Working with children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain.
  • A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain.
