The Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our new client-facing platform. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Your primary focus will be on developing backend service components for our ad booking and campaign management platform. You'll work collaboratively with our product owners, business analysts, quality assurance engineers, and other engineers to ensure that our solutions are well-designed, testable, and maintainable.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technical challenges, from designing and implementing RESTful web services to integrating with cloud-based platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll also contribute to system design improvements, planning, and estimates, as well as shaping and fostering an engineering culture that values innovation and excellence.

What We Offer

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Java software engineering role.
  • Strong programming skills and knowledge of server-side technologies like Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot.
  • Able to write clean, well-organised, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Understanding of REST and service-based architecture.
  • Experience in the design and development of RESTful web services.
  • Understanding of message-driven integration techniques.
  • Experience in cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
  • Experience with TDD and BDD.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
  • Understanding of agile development practices (XP, Scrum, Kanban).
