About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Lead Piping Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in the Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industries, with a strong understanding of piping design codes such as ASME B31.3 and AS 4041.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and document piping systems from initiation through to construction stage
- Work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
- Lead and oversee the development of a growing team of people
- Collaborate with a close-knit team of engineers, designers, and project engineers to deliver projects to our clients' standards
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the design of piping systems
- Registered professional engineer in Queensland (RPEQ)
- Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy or manufacturing industries
- Experience piping stress modelling and using software packages such as Auto PIPE or other design programs
- Ability to generate engineering estimates and quotations
