Job Description

Our client, a diversified family-owned business, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to support the Financial Controller and team members. This role is responsible for day-to-day Bookkeeping activities, including preparing Weekly Cash Flow, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, with familiarity with MYOB and Cheops software. They will be proactive, intelligent, and able to work as part of a small team, with excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Weekly Cash Flow and Bank Reconciliations
  • Processing standing journals, general journals, and project cost journals
  • Reconciling and transferring Payroll to the General Ledger
  • Calculating Work-In-Progress for all projects and preparing WIP journal and WIP movement reconciliation
  • Preparing Monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets for review
  • Collating and issuing Monthly Management Report for Senior Management
  • Monthly General Ledger reconciliations - Prepayments, Payroll, Fixed Asset
  • Quarterly General Ledger reconciliations - DR & CR control & retentions, miscellaneous Balance Sheet
  • Compiling Monthly and Quarterly BAS
  • Assisting in compilation of Annual Budgets
  • Assisting Group Financial Controller with annual Insurance renewal preparation
  • Preparing FBT workpapers
  • Preparing End of Financial Year company workpapers & reconciliations
