Job Opportunity for Experienced Estimator

We are expanding our project management office team due to recent project successes. This is an opportunity for a seasoned estimator to join our Adelaide office.

The role can be based in Adelaide, or other locations for the right candidate. We require a professional with strong estimating skills and knowledge of infrastructure and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead first-principles reviews of contractor open-book cost estimates.
  • Validate methodology, risk & opportunity, and schedule against client requirements.
  • Negotiate cost adjustments and provide recommendations for contractor awards.
  • Work closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, and delivery partners to confirm value assurance outcomes.
  • Manage workloads and ensure efficient progression of estimates from submission through to approval.
  • Develop cost estimates across various AACEI classifications, using both first-principles pricing and benchmarking.
  • Interpret specifications and standards to assess cost implications.
  • Prepare and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations, as required.
  • Deliver high-quality tender handovers, including development of Basis of Estimates documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating practices and tools.

To be successful, you will have a Bachelor's degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. You will also need solid experience as an Estimator in infrastructure or construction, with a clear passion for the discipline.

This position supports cost assurance and estimating services across a diverse national portfolio, including transport, water, defence, and buildings. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost transparency, driving value for money, and influencing decisions across the project lifecycle.
