About the Role

The Head of Learning Area is a pivotal leadership position within our educational institution. As a key member of the Executive team, you will work closely with the Principal and other Heads of Learning Area to provide strategic direction and support to staff and students.

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum initiatives that promote student learning and achievement, particularly in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) area.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation from students, staff, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of HASS curriculum strategies that align with the Western Australian Curriculum and ensure inclusive programming for all students.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to HASS teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise that benefit student learning.
