About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sugar Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at Mackay Sugar. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coordinating laboratory activities and ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate laboratory activities, including sampling, chemistry, and analytical programs
  • Oversee daily activities of laboratory staff and manage process chemical stock control
  • Validate weekly production performance and end-of-season records
  • Maintain and develop laboratory manuals, policies, and standard operating procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Chemistry or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Control Analyst
  • Knowledge of cane payment methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tertiary education in Chemistry or other related science
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
