Defence Hospitality Specialist

Compass is a leader in delivering exceptional hospitality and catering services to Defence personnel.

We focus on providing nutritious meals, whether in dining halls or in the field, while prioritizing health, comfort, and overall well-being.

This work is crucial in supporting our Australian Defence Force members. Join us at our Defence sites in Wagga Wagga– RAAF Base Wagga and Blamey Barracks, where you will receive comprehensive training and support while working with a dynamic team.

Job Opportunities:

  • Bar Attendants

For Utilities (Kitchen Support – Food Prep & Sandwiches):

  • Experience in food preparation, sandwich making, and general kitchen duties highly regarded
  • Basic knife handling and food safety knowledge essential
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various kitchen tasks
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

For Food & Beverage Attendant:

  • Hospitality or front-of-house experience beneficial
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills required
  • Comfortable handling food, operating POS systems, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently

For Kitchen Hand:

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment and assist with dish washing, cleaning, and food preparation
  • Attention to hygiene and cleanliness standards paramount
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude required

For Bar Attendant:

  • RSA certification or willingness to obtain one required
  • Bar experience beneficial but not necessary
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills necessary
