Emergency Veterinarian – Critical Care Specialist

Job DescriptionThis position involves a unique co-location arrangement, allowing you to collaborate closely with colleagues in the General Practice clinic. Our mission is to deliver top-notch Emergency care and expertise to the Wollongong and greater Illawarra region.
Key Responsibilities- Possession of a Veterinary degree eligible for registration in NSW.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
- Highly desirable previous experience in emergency veterinary care.
- A remarkable ability to maintain composure and display empathy in high-pressure scenarios.
- Effective communication skills, whether with peers, pet owners, or referring veterinarians.

- Have 2 years or more experience working as an emergency or general practice veterinarian. (Experience working in a busy multi-disciplinary hospital would be highly regarded.)
- Be available to work a combination of day, night, and evening shifts.
- Be comfortable working sole charge and managing routine emergency presentations.
- Be eager to learn how to manage more complex patients under the supervision of our critical care team.
