About the Role

Unitywater is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Leader to lead a talented team in delivering efficient mechanical and electrical solutions. As a key member of our team, you will oversee minor capital projects and major corrective works, manage budgets, and allocate resources to achieve performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of electrical and mechanical professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage budgets exceeding $1 million and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices and electrical contractors.
  • Review electrical drawings to ensure regulatory and Unitywater standards are met.
  • Manage emergency response situations and ensure workplace health and safety compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30811) or equivalent associate diploma.
  • Ability to obtain nominee status on Unitywater Electrical Contractors Licence QLD.
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management or willingness to obtain.
  • Proven ability to influence a unionised field-based workforce for safety and productivity.
  • Excellent understanding of AS/NZS 3000:2018 standards.
