Job Title: Program Director

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in program development and operation, with experience in leading teams to deliver effective programs and strategies for young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to improving the outcomes of young people's futures by developing and implementing impactful programs and initiatives.
  • Lead a team of Youth Engagement Officers at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct to provide a comprehensive program tailored to the cohorts interests and cultural backgrounds.
  • Plan and coordinate programs for the precinct in advance to ensure cultural, religious and significant days and events are acknowledged or celebrated.
  • Manage the delivery of internal and external programs across the precinct.
  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting on youth justice and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of current issues, trends and techniques relating to program development, implementation and operation within the youth justice and adult custodial settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Current driver's licence required due to the need to work across different locations.
