We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team working on Queensland's largest infrastructure project, Cross River Rail. As a key member of our Stations & Caverns construction delivery team, you'll be responsible for providing on-site engineering support to assist in the delivery of successful project outcomes.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale underground station site, coordinating and overseeing mechanical trade packages. You'll be responsible for monitoring key construction requirements, managing work conducted on site by subcontractors and suppliers, and implementing prompt and safe corrective action if required.

You will be reporting to the Project Engineer on your site, and we're particularly interested in your recent experience in coordinating and overseeing mechanical trade packages.
About UsCBUK JV brings together CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella, and UGL to deliver the Tunnel and Station Package for Brisbane's Cross River Rail. Our team is committed to workplace diversity and opportunities on our project, and we support women in construction and Indigenous advancement and participation.
The project involves the construction of 10.2 kilometres of rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. You'll have the opportunity to work on four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road, and Woolloongabba.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A recognised degree in Engineering.
- Fitness for Fit Out experience (highly regarded).
- Demonstrated site experience coordinating subcontractors, preferably in a large-scale building or infrastructure project environment.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria.
- Experience in overseeing subcontractor safety, quality, and progress to achieve desired project outcomes.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
