Job Opportunity

This exciting internship will provide you with valuable experience in the transport and traffic industry. As a cadet, you will assist project managers, engineers, and planners while developing your knowledge and capabilities within a professional services firm.

You will be responsible for contributing to project investigations, preparing reports, and gaining experience with analyzing and modeling transport problems using industry software. You will also learn to convey complex information visually using mapping and drafting software and step away from your desk to accompany project managers and engineers on site inspections.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Assisting project managers, engineers, and planners in the development of transport infrastructure projects.
  • Conducting research and analysis to inform project decisions.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Developing skills in industry-specific software, including mapping and drafting tools.
  • Participating in site inspections and other fieldwork activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic record in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or transportation studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia and a valid driver's license.
