Leadership Opportunity in Anaesthesia

Clinical Directors play a pivotal role in shaping the future of anaesthesia departments. In this esteemed leadership position, you will have the opportunity to guide a well-established team of specialist and GP anaesthetists, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to medical education.

  • Lead a team of 15 specialist anaesthetists and 2 GP anaesthetists, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and anaesthesia services for public patients, ensuring best practice clinical governance and patient safety standards.
  • Deliver consultative anaesthetic support across multiple disciplines and two hospitals, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to education and training through the University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School, enhancing the skills and knowledge of junior medical staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Current AHPRA Specialist Registration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and mentoring ability, essential for effective team management and professional development.
  • Commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and professional development, driving continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
