The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Melbourne. This position will be based out of our Melbourne Office and will work on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking electrical design deliverables such as calculations, reports, design, and technical documentation. You will also develop electrical designs using proprietary programs like ETAP Version 20.0, Power Cad, and generate reports including Load Flow, Fault Level Analysis Report, Electrical Coordination and Selectivity Analysis Report.

You will provide technical support to senior engineers to deliver project deliverables, presentations, case studies, and due diligence reports. You will attend and actively participate in project presentations, team collaborations, and client engagement. You will also attend project and site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake electrical design deliverables such as calculations, reports, design, and technical documentation.
  • Develop electrical designs using proprietary programs like ETAP Version 20.0, Power Cad, and generate reports.
  • Provide technical support to senior engineers to deliver project deliverables, presentations, case studies, and due diligence reports.
  • Attend and actively participate in project presentations, team collaborations, and client engagement.
  • Attend project and site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
Preferred Experience

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant design experience.
  • Experience within an engineering consulting company.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, Visio, and Autocad.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
