Clinical Practice

As a Career Medical Officer (CMO) at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing medical supervision to private patients of hospital accredited Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs).
  2. Collaborating with nursing staff to implement Deteriorating Patient protocol.
  3. Assisting with emergency surgical procedures.
  4. Identifying and managing deviations in diagnostic results, and notifying VMOs accordingly.
  5. Communicating effectively with VMOs regarding patient care.
  6. Working effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment.
  7. Demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
  8. Working on a rotating roster and on-call basis, including weekends.

Requirements

  1. Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
  2. Current medical indemnity insurance.
  3. Working with Children Check and Police Check.
  4. Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination and immunisation history.
