Aircraft Maintenance Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to take on the pivotal role of Base Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing operations within our maintenance facilities.

Reporting Structure:

This role will report directly to the Responsible Manager for the Southern Region.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and administration of our maintenance base, which includes:

  • Supervising the 'C' Check Facilitator, Workshop Supervisors, and all Engineering personnel.
  • Coordinating and planning resources, including manpower, equipment, tooling, data, and aeronautical products to ensure timely maintenance completion.
  • Ensuring the serviceability of tools and equipment, along with managing a preventative maintenance program for Engineering Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including follow-up actions on any declared unserviceable GSE.
  • Communicating essential information through toolbox meetings and the 'read and sign' process.
  • Addressing deficiencies identified within quality and safety systems.
  • Maintaining the correct amendment status of publications.
  • Ensuring the facility's cleanliness and the proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Enforcing compliance with regulations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the submission of all maintenance certification and records to Technical Records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Facilitating the identification and arrangement of training to ensure adequate staffing levels for tasks planned in the hangar.
  • Monitoring and controlling operational costs at the maintenance base.
  • Conducting annual audits of each engineer's toolbox.
  • Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated self-starter with a flexible approach.
  • Proven capability to manage a cohesive team while also being able to work independently.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Experience in airline operations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
