Community Football Executive Role

This key position oversees the administration, growth and strategic development of community football in Sydney.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage AFL Sydney Senior competitions from Home & Away season to League Finals Series.
  • Foster strong relationships with AFL Sydney clubs and internal teams.
  • Oversee elite development programs shaping competition futures.
  • Administer League rules and partner with AFL Game Development Engagement Team.
  • Manage finances, communications and grow competition through commercial opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Advanced communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Proven operational management expertise.
  • Innovative and adaptable with a willingness to challenge status quo.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in community sport, football or large-scale volunteer-based organisations.
