This exciting opportunity is part of the Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance, focused on enhancing safety and efficiency on major north-south corridors by upgrading Glenelg Tram Line road crossings.

The existing South Road overpass will be replaced to facilitate the T2D Project, while Marion Road and Cross Road level crossings will be removed and replaced with an overpass, and Morphett Road level crossing will be upgraded with tram overpasses, eliminating road traffic interfaces and creating new public spaces beneath.

The Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance, comprising McConnell Dowell, CPB Contractors, and design partners Mott McDonald, Arup, and Aurecon, will collaborate with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to deliver these projects.

You'll play a critical role as the Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor, ensuring the successful delivery of environmental and sustainability services to meet project responsibilities and objectives. Your expertise will involve identifying and analyzing risks, advising the project team on environmental and sustainability issues, and transferring knowledge regarding legislative requirements.

To excel in this position, you must possess:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, natural resource management, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in sustainability.
  3. Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) certification and experience implementing ISCA on projects.
  4. In-depth knowledge of current sustainability issues and skills in strategy development, systems approach, stakeholder engagement, performance management, project management, training & communication, benchmarking, auditing, data verification / nonfinancial, business case.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-standard reports and documents.
  6. Self-reliance with minimal supervision, focusing on results.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Aconex.
  8. Understanding of current sustainability issues in infrastructure and the ability to influence change.
  9. Experience in developing and delivering training.
  10. Experience in developing systems.
  11. Experience in conducting audits, with auditing qualifications desirable.
  12. Experience in collecting and managing large volumes of data.

This role is based at one of three project sites in metro-Adelaide, supporting the project operations team in a construction environment. We welcome applications from local candidates but are open to discussing suitable interstate-based candidates.
