At our healthcare facility, we are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and treatment for oncological and haematological conditions.
We offer a dynamic work environment in the Oncology Day Unit at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, where you will join a state-of-the-art cancer centre serving the northern half of Hunter New England.
This purpose-built facility was opened in 2015, delivering a full range of oncology and haematology services in a warm and supportive environment.
Our team operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), collaborating with other professionals to deliver high-quality outpatient care.
You will work alongside experienced staff members, including Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Nurse Practitioner, a McGrath Cancer Nurse, and Oncology Educators, ensuring patients and their families receive excellent support throughout their treatment journey.
We provide ongoing oncology-specific training and supernumerary shifts at commencement to support your transition into the role.

- A team player who enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment
- Able to adapt in a busy clinical setting while maintaining professionalism and empathy
- Motivated to learn and build expertise in oncology and haematology nursing
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing (or working towards)
- Support from other staff members, including NP and CNCs plus Oncology Specific Educators. All relevant training and education required for HNELHD will be provided.
