Job Description

The Department of Education supports Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives by promoting lifelong learning and development, strengthening families, and equipping people with skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.

Schools and Regional Services (SRS) offers expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes through a diverse workforce in four regions. It comprises 17 areas within these regions, backed by central office divisions, collaborating to deliver improved outcomes for early childhood services, schools, communities, and learners.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure access to high quality early childhood education and care for all children and families
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders
  • Provide advice and support to local government, community service organisations, and early childhood providers
  • Monitor service agreements between the Department of Education and funded organisations
  • Support the implementation of key government Early Childhood policy, initiatives, reforms, and strategies
