Network Infrastructure Engineer

The role is critical to the success of our organisation as it focuses on supporting and optimising network infrastructure, connectivity and services across various sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying technology requirements and contributing to high-level and low-level design documentation. This will include recommending network design changes, maintaining relationships with business functions, providing technical expertise, and coordinating security applications.

A key aspect of this role is conducting technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and processes, managing risk, and implementing counter measures or mitigating controls to known risks and threats. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor qualification in Computer Science, engineering or a related discipline, along with 8-10 years' experience in IT and 6 years supporting networks in a complex environment. Cisco certifications are essential, with CCIE being ideal but CCNP as a minimum. Experience with Velocloud SDWAN, Office Wi-Fi, and Microsoft Office suite is also required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor qualification in Computer Science, engineering or related discipline
  • 8-10 years' experience in IT and 6 years supporting networks in a complex environment
  • Experience across the delivery of major technology projects
  • Experience working with managed services and multiple suppliers
  • Cisco certifications (CCIE/CCNP)
  • Excellent hands-on knowledge of networking technologies
