Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team at Charterhouse as a Strategic Planning Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, housing projects, and urban design.

The role will involve:

  • Developing housing and associated transport strategies for the local government area.
  • Project managing the delivery of precinct planning in designated areas.
  • Conducting research and analysis on transport-related development precincts.
  • Providing expert advice on strategic housing and transport planning matters.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in urban planning, urban development, or a related field, and significant relevant work experience. They will also have strong analytical and research skills, as well as the ability to manage externally funded projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities associated with the engagement of external contractors and consultants.
  • Develop housing capacity studies and precinct planning documents.
  • Conduct research and analysis on transport-related development precincts.
  • Provide expert advice on strategic housing and transport planning matters.

Requirements:

  • Degree in urban planning, urban development, or a related field.
  • Significant relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to manage externally funded projects.
