Storage Expertise Position

This is a key role that involves leading initiatives and collaborating with account managers to provide specialist expertise within the sales team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities.
  • Provide specialist expertise in storage and related products, maintaining an outside-in view and staying abreast of competitors.
  • Use deep expertise of end-to-end data solutions leveraging the HPE storage portfolio and ecosystem of partners.
  • Effectively communicate complex technologies to customers, actively hunting for solution opportunities in acquisition and development accounts.
  • Negotiate profitable deals and establish professional relationships with clients, growing the business and achieving financial metrics.
Requirements
  • Typically 5 years of sales experience, demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, interfaces with diverse business customers.
  • Storage-related sales experience preferred.
  • Possesses expertise to assess solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective, to determine qualify-in/qualify-out status.
  • Demonstrates hunter mentality to actively pursue solution opportunities.
  • Knowledge of digital and modern methods to connect and sell.
Tech Focus
  • In-depth knowledge about storage, service, cloud, solution, and differentiators between own offerings and competitors.
  • Understands the outside-in view and possesses solid knowledge of industry trends, stays abreast of competitors and key partner/ISV solutions.
Sales Acumen
  • Applies specialized storage technical product/service/solution knowledge in working with account teams to screen and prioritize multiple leads for feasibility.
