Accounts Payable Manager Position

We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to lead our team in Perth, Western Australia.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Accounts Payable function, driving efficiency and continuous process improvement. This role is responsible for accurate and timely supplier payments, managing diverse stakeholders, key metrics reporting, team development, and contributing to systems integration initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operational stakeholders, IT, and finance, to ensure operational efficiency, system optimisation, and compliance across a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team
  • Drive customer service culture in Accounts Payable
  • Oversee Converga, our paperless Accounts Payable system
  • Manage business expense systems, including SAP Concur and Appzen
  • Maintain robust supplier data and payment terms
  • Manage Supply Chain Finance platforms
  • Prepare management reports and report on key metrics
  • Champion financial controls and related policies and processes
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in a supervisory/managerial role leading an Accounts Payable team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach, high level of autonomy and accountability
  • Strong coordination and teamwork, emphasis on continuous improvements
