We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate financial expert to address financial disadvantage within the community.

This pivotal role involves undertaking financial counselling casework, adhering to the Financial Counselling Australia Minimum Practice Standards and The Australian Financial Counselling Code of Ethical Practice.

The successful candidate will provide emergency relief and advocacy services, offering a lifeline to those in immediate need.

A key aspect of this role is guiding individuals towards financial resilience, facilitating engaging workshops, and developing informative materials tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake financial counselling casework
  • Provide emergency relief and advocacy services
  • Develop procedures as required

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling)
  • Eligible for membership of the Financial Counsellors Association
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in financial counselling and emergency relief
  • Assessment, negotiation skills and advocacy skills
