Job Overview

This is a dynamic role that requires high-level expertise, strong communication skills, and a focus on quality improvement and patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional physiotherapy services and contribute to the development and success of the service.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality physiotherapy services for patients with respiratory dysfunction by applying advanced clinical skills and working autonomously.
  • Providing expert assessment, treatment, and management of complex cases, while directing patient and carer education in a multidisciplinary clinic environment.
  • Collaborating with management to improve service planning, safety, and efficiency.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives within the service, ensuring adherence to high standards of clinical practice and patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 3 tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA Physiotherapy registration and extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Respiratory physiotherapy.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with significant communication ability to facilitate effective clinical care and supervision.
  • High level of knowledge and experience in Physiotherapy service delivery across all facets of acute hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Proven ability to provide high-level clinical advice and education to guide and support others in providing service excellence for patients with respiratory dysfunction.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
